NEW Mental Health First Aid Course

By Uncategorized

In today’s Covid-19 world, there is a tremendous cost in human and financial terms of mental health issues in and out of the workplace. Often we aren’t sure how to help co-workers who may be facing mental health challenges. This Mental Health First Aid Course addresses this by training a designated in-house staff in Mental Health First Aid to provide initial support to someone developing or experiencing a mental health issue. If a crisis does arise, a MHFA trained person can take appropriate steps that may help to reduce the harm that can result.  This course is developed and managed by Mental Health Commission of Canada and taught by a Canadian Mental Health Association certified MHFA trainer. Offered by the Pacific Safety Center Ltd on July 9 & 10, 2020. Click here for more information.

We are planning to resume regularly scheduled courses June 24, 2020

As BC moves into Phase 2 of the Covid-19 situation more and more businesses are either open or planning to reopen and we are planning on being there for you.  We have been revising our training course safety systems and hope to resume open enrollment (ie: regularly scheduled) courses in our Richmond offices, beginning June 24, 2020 with our Fundamentals for Joint Health and Safety Committees Course. We will be taking extensive safety measures to protect our clients and staff. For example we will be reducing the size of each course from 16 to 8 people to allow for social distancing. We will be doing extensive disinfecting in the training room , washroom and other areas, provide hand sanitizer, have face masks available for any and all,  utilize lexan barriers (where appropriate), and more.  Watch this space for more information.
