Welcome to the 2009 (14th Annual) Western Conference on Safety, Western Canada’s largest occupational health and safety event. Each year, members of the conference organizing committee search throughout North America seeking out the best topics and speakers and bringing them to the Western Conference on Safety.

Last year was our 4th year hosting the conference at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver and more than 1100 people came out to participate.

Hosted by the Pacific Safety Center Ltd and the BC Safety Council.

The conference includes a blend of seminars aimed at everyone from the new safety committee member to the most experienced safety professional. With over 20 sessions, keynote presentations, a 70+ booth tradeshow and more than 1000 attendees, this conference has something for everyone.

Certification and Maintenance

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) have awarded the Western Conference on Safety 1.0 Certified Maintenance Points (approval number 09037) for attendance of both days.

The Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists has awarded 1.0 maintenance point for each day of attendance (Award 2008-23).
